Surrey developer The Octagon Group will soon be depositing with Woking Borough Council a detailed planning application for the comprehensive redevelopment of the 35 acre former MOD site Broadoaks, situated close to the centre of West Byfleet.

The general proposals are:-
For a mixed low rise, low density housing development of both private and affordable housing.
The restoration of the historic buildings and gardens.
A coeducational independent secondary day school to be owned and operated by United Learning, one of the largest charities in the UK and an establish provider of the highest quality eduaction of children and young people across the country. Within the locality they operate Surbiton and Guildford High Schools.
PUBLIC EXHIBITION of the development at The Cornerstone Centre, St John’ Church, West Byfleet on Friday 19th June from 2 p.m – 8.30 p.m where there will be an opportunity for residents to view the proposals and for their thoughts and comments to be recorded for consideration.
