A big ‘Thank You’ to our residents who delivered our latest Forum leaflet around to the homes and business within our Forum neighbourhood.
Another big ‘Thank You’ the hundred and more residents who attended our ‘Drop In’ on 13th April and to those 127 people took the time to complete our questionnaire.
We were disappointed that no one under the age of 30 responded to our questions.
For those residents who completed our questionnaire one of your big concerns is the traffic along the A245 and most of you [ 91%] would support a study to understand how we could reduce the thru’ traffic.
While 57% of those that answered the questions were opposed to Sheer House becoming a hotel many of you felt a hotel could be part of any new development in this area. Again a large majority [75%] were in favour of West Byfleet having its own village hall/ community centre.
The major concern, as always, is Sheer House and the surrounding areas and this issue tends to dominate any other issue within our village. We understand that the owners are still looking for a buyer.
