NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN – REFERENDUM 5th OCTOBER – WHAT ARE YOU VOTING FOR ?

On the 5th October 2017 a referendum for residents in the West Byfleet Neighbourhood area is taking place.

The ballot paper asks:

Do you want WBC to use the Neighbourhood Plan for the West Byfleet Neighbourhood Area to help it decide planning applications for the Area?

A vote of Yes for the Plan means Woking Borough Council will have to use our Neighbourhood Plan policies in helping it decide planning applications in future. This means residents have more say in how planning decisions that affect our village are made.

Please note that this vote is NOT a direct vote for or against any specific plans which have already been submitted to WBC, for example Sheer House redevelopment or the Marstons proposal for a pub on the recreation ground, that may be submitted in the coming months

For full details on what you are voting on; key policies and vision statement please see https://wbnf.org/2017/09/21/referendum-thursday-5th-october-what-are-you-voting-for

Please do spread the word about the Referendum to your neighbours who may not have signed up for WBNF emails or have access to the internet.
