Recreation Ground – Marstons pub proposal LATEST / PUBLIC CONSULTATION 21st June

Last week this article was published by Get Surrey about Marstons plans for a Pub Restaurant to be built on the recreation ground.

They released an image of what the pub might look like and announced they are holding a public consultation before submitting plans to WBC.

Marston’s is seeking views on their development proposals for a new  Marston’s Pub Restaurant and replacement Pavilion off Camphill Road in West Byfleet.
A public exhibition is taking place on Thursday 21 June 2018 from 4pm to 8pm in the Dora Honnor Room at the Cornerstone Centre, St John’s Church, Camphill Road, West Byfleet. This is a follow up to the consultation at West Byfleet Live last year following amendments to the proposed location and layout of the pub/restaurant and pavilion.

Representatives of the Marston’s project team will be available to answer questions about the plans on the day and we encourage you all to go along and have your say.

As previously indicated this proposal goes against policy’s in the Neighbourhood Development Plan

The WBNF will be having a stall at the upcoming St Johns fete on the 9th June 11am-3pm. We encourage you to come and talk to us and let us know your views by answering a few questions so that we will be able to compile some of our own statistics to reflect the views of local residents.
